And, Then I Looked Up

This week, Jamie asks wishcasters,
what do you wish to know?

Turn, Turn, Turn

I wish to know emptiness, so that I may fill myself with the now. Now provides an experiential existence, as opposed to a consuming existence. I wish to experience my life, not consume or commodify it. I wish to share the bounty of my artistic expression, not brand it.

I wish to know balance, patience and endurance so that I may embrace this present metamorphosis.

I wrote the post below Monday evening ~ before seeing this week's wishcast question. Truly, seeing a pair of eagles circle the heavens above my head inspired this post. It just so happens to provide a sufficient answer to this week's wishcast question. And, so does this post, written for a one-word-prompt blog carnival.
I needed to answer this question this week. I visualized it, wrote about it, and reflected it in my photography. Here you'll find a wallpaper image for your desktop ~ inspired by this weeks's wishcast; it looks as shown above. Download and enjoy for your own personal use.  Now ~ onto the post.

A wee bit before dusk finds me sitting just outside my door, on my front steps. Contemplating the enormous changes and opportunities that lay in wait for me and the gemini twins. Unable to fully explain the deep feeling, lodged in my very core, regarding the right-ness, the fit, of this enormous change [which looms largely in my presence]  for me, right now. But feeling intensely that depth and breadth, nonetheless. It burns softly and steadily, sounds like a low rumble in my gut.

And then I looked up. And what did I see? Two eagles, circling. Circling each other, circling above, flying in helixes. I frequently see eagles. I mean more frequently than most other city dwellers may. Each sighting delivers itself like a message for me, a lesson I must learn.

What about today? What must I know and embrace? Balance ... Patience ... Endurance. And, do I see and feel the metaphoric inukshuk? Keep going Roxanne, keep going. You've found the right direction. Remember yesterday, when you saw that butterfly? Yes; a rareity. How curious, seeing this captivating creature ~ an embodiment of transfiguration ~ at a time when I find myself breaking free from myself ... metamorphosing ~ witnessing my own personal pentecost.
