#Reverb10 ~ December 10th

Wisdom. What was the wisest decision you made this year, and how did it play out? (Author: Susanna Conway)

By far the wisest decision I've made this year, or ever, involved deciding to go to treatment for my addiction. Deciding to take the chance and move out of Vancouver, and into Abbotsford, made all the difference in my life. I felt scared, sh!t scared, in fact. Taking this step meant that I had to give up virtually all of my possesions ~ furniture, kitchen stuff, and most of my clothes. That sounds like a lot to give up, doesn't it? But, sitting here today, my heart knows that I made the best, the wisest decision. And I have no regrets.

My wisest decision was to accept the 'leadership' of a retreat. One of the toughest things I have done in a long time, wondering at times, What had come over me to say 'yes' to this thing...

Basically I obeyed what I sensed might just have been a 'call' and just in case it was, I had to say 'yes.'

Basically it has taught me to go out on a limb on a [Goddely] hunch... :-)
